Hello, Hello, Hello I told you at the beginning of my blog that I was about to finish my master’s degree now that I have completed the course I think I need to do a post on more HR topics; we will start with what is HR?

HUMAN RESOURCE

Human Resource is a department within companies that manages everything related to the people who work there 

The traditional role of personnel management or better known as human resource is an administrative function of the business that provides the right people that can fit in the company additionally it manages the relationship between employee and employer. Their function includes recruiting, selection, training and development, as well as performance management and salary management.

Ok, we got it HR or personnel management involves balancing the people and their work life cycle in the organisation. However, this is just the operative function of the role

What most people don’t realise is that HR can also be involved in the implementation of long-term strategies for the growth and development of business success. This other side is better knowns as strategic human resource management (SHRM). Wei (2006) states that SHRM is a more flexible arrangement of the way employees are used for the implantation and the achievement of the organisation’s goals and support the organisation in gaining a competitive advantage in the market. in the next posts, I will go into more detail about operative and strategic HR.
