I don’t understand why there is no chapter dedicated to the Hufflepuff house. Hufflepuffs value teamwork, loyalty and ethics. Unfortunately, they are often underestimated or undervalued in every Hogwarts house. There are pleasant and unpleasant people who do not fit in the generic description given to them or the people’s perception (in this case the houses of Hogwarts). However, the Hufflepuffs contribution has not been fully appreciated. For example, in the last battle at Hogwarts Slytherins house decides to leave, half of the Ravenclaws remained. For bravery the entire Gryffindors house, and even the entire house of Hufflepuff stayed. The Hufflepuffs differently from the Gryffindors stayed stayed for their loyalty to Hogwarts and because it was the right thing to do.

These are my favourite Hufflepuffs (Newt Scamander will never be on my favourite list) :

Pomona Sprout is the professor of herbology and the head of the Hufflepuff house. She’s hardworking, and she loves her job so much that she decorated the Hufflepuff common room with plants. Professor Sprout is the most caring teacher. She saw the potential in her student. For example, encourages and mentors Neville’s love for herbology from the start. She saves the petrified student by the Slytherin Basilisk by growing the Mandrakes with patience and creating a restorative draught. She was loyal to Dumbledore and opposed Dolores Umbridge tyrannic methods. Rewarded Harry Potter twenty point just for passing her a watering can because he told everyone about Lord Voldemort return in his interview to Rita Skeeter. She showed resilience even after Dumbledore dies, the other professors were talking about closing the school. Still, she said: “I feel that if a single pupil wants to come, then the school ought to remain open for that pupil.” Basically saying that Hogwart should always be open to those on want to learn.

Kingsley Shacklebolt’s that I firmly believe a Hufflepuff is a good example of an undervalued hero. Kingsley is an Auror with a diverse range of friends such as Lupin (werewolf) and Arthur Wisely (considered a traitor by the pureblood in the wizarding world). He’s a hard worker and a skilled Auror. He showed loyalty and bravery by protecting Harry Potter in the battle at the Ministry and escorted him out of Privet Drive. He also protected the muggle prime minister and Fleur and Bill’s wedding guest by warning them and further protecting the muggles when he was in hiding. Finally, he was able to gain the trust and respect of the muggle prime minister and of the Dursley like no other previous “magic wand carrier” has been able to do. For his integrity, discretion, bravery, ability to stay calm and communication skills he became the minister of magic.
