I graduated with a 2.1 and currently doing my MSc 🙌 . This is how I write my essays for a 1 or 2.1 :

• Open 2 word documents and write in both:
  • Title question/topic
  • Introduction
  • Body
  • Conclusion

One word document will be your “draft essay”, and the other word document will be the ” main essay” to submit. I believe this is a crucial phase, writing it down makes you aware that there is an unfinished work.

Afterwards or the next day 😉

• Read and highlight the requirements of the assignment ( models, reference to a specific sector or country and presentation requirement )
• Download powerpoints of the lectures and select and divide them by topic

Hopefully, you already started researching if not START. Use:

• Books highlighted in the reading list and mentioned by the lecturer
• Articles (has a business student you will have to refer and use different cases for examples)
• Journals in the reading list and outside (research and use as many journals as you can)

Start adding the finding and notes in the “draft essay” ( DO NOT TRY TO DO EVERYTHING IN THE SAME DAY SPLIT THE WORK)

PLAN, PLAN, PLAN, set a goal that you want to accomplish that day and write it down and REFERENCE REFERENCE REFERENCE as you write.

• Divide the topics in paragraph (The Main body consist of different sections) in the “draft essay.”
• Further, split the topic subdivided them by argument supporting and opposing ideas ( you need to play the devil’s advocate) do not ramble, focus on the critical point
• Colour-code: full citations, books, journals, examples and your notes that were taken in the lecture of course😏

Star assembling the pieces of information in the “main essay”  remember that the reader needs to understand your taught process, therefore, structure the paper clearly and logically.

DO NOT PLAGIARISE, rephrase and make them your own (if the citation is essential, remember to accurately reference with the page)
